Ciao from Positano! This is my first post from our trip and I wanted to share a few packing secrets when traveling with connecting flights. When traveling in general, but especially to more remote locations, a connecting flight can easily be involved as well as delays. I have learned the hard way the importance of strategically packing a carry-on with necessities to get through a day or two if your luggage does happen to get lost. I always make sure to pack underwear, toothbrush and toothpaste, a bathing suit (if appropriate for where you are headed) and a few pieces of clothing that are neutral and easy to mix and match. I also toss in a small toiletry bag with a few go-to make up options and I make sure I have any important documents as well.

I love this two toned weekender bag from Sole Society. The color combo is perfect for this time of year, it fits a ton of stuff and also has a crossbody strap (the normal straps do fit over my shoulder too). It has become one of my favorite travel bags whether it is a weekend away or to a longer destination. The best things about duffle bags (more options here) is that you can always manage to squeeze them into the overhead compartment even when they tell you all the luggage space if full. With a standard carry-on suitcase you often are out of luck.
