I thought it would be fun to shake things around a bit and get Matt involved in helping create a gift guide for the guys! To be honest, I find it easiest to stick to one place when shopping for Matt to find the bulk of the items. Nordstrom is great because they offer such a wide variety of some of Matt’s favorite things as well as free shipping and returns year round. I always joke with Matt that I can on any occasion give him a list of things on my wish list, but he NEVER leaves a hint at anything he is interested in so it is a bit of hard work. If you are in the same boat, hopefully these top five picks from Matt will help and I also listed out a few other favorites below!
Penfield…anything! – This is a brand that I also personally am a huge fan of, but over the past few years Matt has loved a lot of their pieces as well. One of his favorites is this pullover, it goes with so many pieces in his closet and is easy to toss on and head out the door. His exact one sold out, but this Patagonia fleece pull-over is identical.
Kiehl’s – A few years ago Matt tried out this face wash and became hooked ever since. He more recently added this facial fuel lotion into his morning rotation as well, especially this time of year with the winter dry months. I used to have to track down a Kiehl’s every time he needed it and now I just keep it in my Nordstrom cart and add it on to my purchases when I place an order. So much easier.
Patagonia Better Sweater – This one ironically went back on my list this year because somehow during out move mine got lost. Anyways, enough about me (ha!) and back to Matt, he will dress this up a bit with a plaid button-down underneath or keep things more casual with just a tee. It can be worn year round and is such a great basic jacket to add to a guy’s wardrobe.
Ray-Ban Sunglasses – Such an easy one! And I don’t know about the guy on your list, but Matt looses these sunglasses left and right so it is great to know they are such a classic and always in stock. You all know how much a love my Ray-Ban’s so it only made sense to get Matt on board!
Rag & Bone Denim/Pants – My favorite gift to give!! FINALLY over this past year I talked Matt into investing in good denim and turns out he now understands the difference in investing in a good pair of jeans. His more affordable jeans would stretch out, loose their shape and never sit right after one wear. We were at Nordstrom one day and I had him try on a few pairs and he didn’t want to take them off. I know not every piece has to be a splurge, but owning at least one or two pairs is a must! Matt prefers the “Fit 2” (out of 1-3) and loves these chinos and this lightly faded pair.
