If you ever find yourself questioning how to dress up, yet also look dressed down at the same time I have finally figures out the perfect solution. More times than not, I am headed to an event or something out and about where I want to look a little dressed up, but not overdone. My trick as of lately has been to pair a silk or lace trim cami with a cute cardigan. The texture of the cami dresses things up a bit, while the cardigan can keep things more relaxed.

In addition to the cami, you can choose your shoes accordingly, a block heel is always a safe bet as well as a dressed up flat. Pair either with a nice bag and you are out the door and don’t have to think twice!

This lightweight cocoon cardigan is one of my favorites. It is available in four colors and it is under $100. You can wear it slightly off your shoulder (which is my preferred method) or wrap yourself up in it to keep cozy.
