I’m not sure why, but I have been on a MAJOR Greek cuisine kick lately. I have my favorite go-to spot in our neighborhood for Greek on the go (Greek Eats) and Matt and I tried another spot nearby (Under the Bridge) just the other week which was delicious. I have to admit, one of the reasons we choose Souvlaki GR (in photos below) was due to the adorable decor, but ended up being absolutely blown away with our meal and impressed the food was just as amazing as the restaurant itself. If you are in the Lower East Side and decide to go, do yourself a favor and order the shrimp skewer. It looks and seems simple, but I am not sure what they do to that shrimp, but the flavor is out of this world. Matt and I debated ordering more skewers for a solid ten minutes, but then realized we were already so full…next time!

One of the perks of living in such a large city is always getting to try new places. This is one of the many things I love about Matt, his passion for keeping things new and exciting and seeing what is out there.  Whether it is a new rooftop bar, a hole in the wall place to grab a quick bite, or a fancy meal, the kid knows what he is doing when it comes to maneuvering the streets, cuisine and overall vibe of the city!
