When it comes to travel, I have to admit that I am becoming a bit of the pro. From planning, to packing, to learning what to leave behind (for me the hardest part), I have learned a few helpful tricks over the years and I thought it would be fun to share.

Matt and I often take red eye flights when going to or headed home from being abroad. We prefer the overnight flight– for me, I feel like it makes the longer flights go faster. With that being said, one of my biggest pieces of advice is to make sure you are comfortable when flying, even if it is just a quick flight. This doesn’t mean you have to give up your sense of style, just think more practically of what is easy to move in, sleep in, and just be comfortable in. Splendid is one of my go-to brands when it comes to travel style. They offer so many great pieces that are comfortable and stylish. They also offer a wide selection of wardrobe staples (I could wear the white shirt featured here everyday!), making it east to mix and match pieces in your suitcase to create multiple looks.

If you have ben following my travel style on instagram, you may have noticed a jogger theme. While I love a good pair of leggings, I have found that soft joggers can’t be beat! I love this camo pair and have worn them countless times around the city, as well as on a few recent trips. I also am dying over the pocket detail on these. They look adorable with sandals if headed somewhere warm or with a pair of sneakers for running errands.

A few other things I can’t live without when traveling:

• A durable carry on bag for the flight. I always pack a few extra essentials incase my checked bag gets lost. I also love this passport and laptop case to match.
• Sky Roam – I have preached this over and over again, but this little piece of equipment allows you to have access to wifi for up to five devices for only $5/day!
• An eye mask. I have a hard time falling asleep with light, so this is the perfect solution if you are like me. Plus, I no longer worry if I will be sitting next to someone who keeps their reading light on for the entire flight.
• A basic white tee. This one I am wearing from Splendid is so comfortable. A white tee can go with anything in your suitcase and can easily be dressed up or down. If you don’t wear one on the plane make sure to at least pack one, two or even three!
