FLARE DENIM
March 1, 2017

Happy March, everyone! I am excited to be teaming up with Ann Taylor to share a spring inspired look with you all that incorporates flare denim! I have been wanting to try this jean style for awhile now, but continued to go back and forth on how exactly I wanted to style everything and wasn’t ever finding the perfect pair. To be honest, when I was looking around the Ann Taylor store these jeans didn’t make my first dressing room trip. I was almost on my way out when they caught my eye and I decided to give them a shot. From the moment I slipped them on I was obsessed. You may have seen my Instastories about how I literally put them on the minute I got home to shoot a few pictures and head out to dinner.

I love how they elongate the leg making me look like I am 6 feet tall (when I am just 5’5). Ann Taylor has some amazing pieces our spring spring right now, such as this ruffle cold shoulder blouse. I wore this blouse tucked into the denim to create a more put together and slimming look. When rocking flares, always make sure to wear a more fitted top or tuck your top into the waist of your pants for a more streamlined look. A fitted sweater such as this one would work perfectly to achieve this look.

A  fun little trick to dress up your look or an accessory is to play around with scarves. I wrapped this green and navy scarf around the handle of my tote below to add a pop of color and pattern and while in Naples used this smaller silk scarf on my bamboo bag as well as tied in my hair. An affordable trick to jazz up your look!
