One of my favorite things about living in the city is the change in seasons and excitement around the holidays. Just the other week, it was all over the news that the Rockefeller tree was being delivered and it was the second largest one they have ever had. Often I try and walk Hadley and meet Matt for lunch in Bryant Park, but this day we decided to walk up to Rockefeller to check out the tree and the ice skating rink. If you live in or are visiting NYC, now is the time to ice skate. Both Bryant Park and Rockefeller don’t have any lines and the rink is nearly empty. Matt and I always kick ourselves for not trying to ice-skate sooner each year and then never doing because we don’t have the patience to wait in the lines closer to Christmas. My little nieces are coming up and two weeks in this is one of the activities I hope to do with them!
Although the sun was out, the wind was whipping around and there was a chill in the air, I was happy to have worn a heavier coat for walking around.
