So I know I have talked a bit about this athleisure (athletic + leisure wear) trend, but it is seriously one of my favorites. Practical for running errands, yet fashionable at the same time. I thought it would be fun to list a few tips and trick for pulling off this look. If unfamiliar with what exactly athleisure means, it is basically combining comfortable clothes you can work out in, but then making them stylish.
If you are hesitant of jumping on board, I would start with your basic black sneaks and keep things neutral. One of my favorite looks is with leather leggings and an oversized sweater. The black on black (pants and sneaks) creates a sleek and simple look to then build off of.
But don’t be hesitant to go bold. There are so many fun, bold sneakers choices on the market right now that are fun, and very on trend. My favorite pairs are usually nike or new balance.
Try not to make it look as if you literally just left the gym. Pair a few non-workout pieces with a few that are. A chamry, like pictured below works great, as does a sweater or leggings.
An easy solution, shown below, is to toss on a coat or trench that compliments your look. The lighter weight material in my military green trench below was the perfect balance for pulling off this look.
