BARK FEST
July 28, 2015

If you have been following along my Snapchat (styledsnapshots) lately, you may have picked up on the fact that I admittedly am one obsessed puppy mama. Needless to say, I am always on the search for a fun activity that is dog-friendly, outside of the typical time spent at the dog park. The other weekend Matt and I brought Hadley on the ferry over to Williamsburg for Bark Fest. It was described to us as “Coachella for canines.”  There were a ton of fun activities, although I have to admit I think some of the owners enjoyed the activies more than the dogs, particularly considering this day could not have been hotter.  While Hadley is not one to enjoy the water,  in light of the heat, to my surprise, she took on “splash zone” and basked in the kiddie pool to cool off.

When days are this hot and humid, I typically opt for a light sundress or in this case an open weave sweater with a bralette underneath. I truly spent more then half the time at Bark fest debating if I wanted to jump in the kiddie pool with Hadley…but then about three dogs peed in it all at once! We didn’t end up staying all that long due to the heat, but I love that this city offers fun events like this. The sense of community in such a big place like nyc never ceases to amaze me.
