GURNEY’S MONTAUK RESORT
June 2, 2015

This past weekend Matt and I crossed one more thing off our summer bucket list and headed out to Gurney’s Montauk Resort, one of the farthest point out in the Hamptons. It was my first time hearing out there, and I will 100% be back! Over the past year, Gurney’s underwent a huge renovation job, and the result is breathtaking.  We stayed in one of the new ocean front rooms,  and although it was a little cool to actually head to the beach, taking a nap on the balcony and waking up to the beautiful view of the ocean was absolutely perfect.

On Saturday, we enjoyed cocktails fireside on the top deck before heading to dinner at Scarpetta Beach. Between the six of us at the table, I can successfully say we tried just about everything on the menu. The General Manager insisted on ordering their homemade spaghetti as one of our many appetizers, and it literally melted in your mouth.  On Sunday, we enjoyed lunch beachside at the Beach Club. And after a night filled with dancing (and maybe a little too much rosé) the chicken fingers were just what this gal needed.   Can you tell I had a good time?! But really, can’t get over how great this resort is.

During the weekend, I wore some of my favorite Lilly Pulitzer pieces that just became available.  This caftan I think is my absolute favorite coverup.  Every couple of weeks throughout the summer, I’ll post some new of Lilly items as they hit the stores, and you can also check out all my, and few other bloggers, picks on Lilly’s site.
