When the city starts to clear out for summer, one of my favorite places to escape within, is is the High Line. I tossed on my embroidered chambray dress and fringe booties and made my way over to the west side. While still bustling with people, the High Line isn’t nearly the same crowd as when the city is in full swing. The High Line is a public park built on a historic freight rail line elevated above the streets on Manhattan’s West Side. It runs from Gansevoort Street in the Meatpacking District to West 34th Street, between 10th and 12th Avenues. Filled with pop up food carts (anything from sweet treats to street tacos) and at times live music, it is a must-see destination for relaxation and an overall good time.
Before meeting up with Grant to shoot, I indulged in L’Arte Del Gelato (half pistachio and half ricotta and caramelized figs) for a pre-dinner snack. If you follow me on Snapchat (styledsnapshots) you might have seen the unfortunate ending to my treat. A rather large sized bug flew into my cup before my last few bites…talk about devastation! All the more reason to go back and get some more.
